MEDICONNECT ACQUIRES ZEROP MEDICAL
Merger Brings Together the Two Leading Providers of Electronic Medical Record Retrieval for the Legal Industry
SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 11, 2006 — MediConnect Inc., a leading online medical record retrieval company for the U.S. legal and insurance industries, today announced that it has successfully completed the strategic acquisition of ZEROP Medical. Terms of the agreement are proprietary.
The acquisition of ZEROP Medical, based in Salt Lake City, further strengthens MediConnect Global's leadership position in providing medical records retrieval and management services to the legal industry, and will accelerate the company's global expansion. To better reflect its strategy and refined identity, the company is also announcing the change of its name to MediConnect Global Inc. In a separate, simultaneous press release, MediConnect Global also announced that it has closed a major funding round and added several globally prominent business leaders to its board of directors.
