MEDICONNECT GLOBAL INC. ENHANCES RAPIDRETRIEVE FOR BETTER RECORD MANAGEMENT

New services including advanced categorization, chronological indexing and preference based retrieval request added to real-time web system.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 16, 2007 —  MediConnect Global, Inc. (www.mediconnect.net), the leader in online retrieval and delivery of patient medical records for the insurance and legal industries, today announced several new services and updated features to its sophisticated web application, RapidRetrieve™. New services including advanced categorization, chronological indexing, and preference-based retrieval requests now provide even more time-saving benefits, convenience, and efficiency for record retrieval and record organization needs.

For attorneys assisting in personal injury or mass tort cases, medical information is the most important verification of the client’s injury. In many cases, the attorney must review the entire file before suit. RapidRetrieve’s enhanced services now makes this process easier by allowing for more robust chronological sorting, categorization and custom searching by keyword.

In addition, RapidRetrieve users can now establish customized sub-accounts which allow for pre-set preference-based retrieval requests. This new feature reduces the possibility of confusion as to which record belongs to a particular individual, trial, or department. Sub-accounts also create quick and easy ordering by seamlessly assigning preset preferences such as “rush status” in a simple one-click process.

"RapidRetrieve’s enhanced services allows us to obtain medical records for multiple cases simultaneously, and in a streamlined manner," said attorney Dylan Pollard with the Law Offices of Shawn Khorrami in Van Nuys, California.

Advanced services available in RapidRetrieve include:

  • Chronological Sorting – systematic record organization by date
  • Customizable Indexing – categorical ordering of retrieved record(s) with hyperlinked table of contents which might include doctor’s notes, nurse’s notes, pharmacy, emergency rooms, labs, etc.
  • Bates/Page Stamping – page numbering, provider’s name, and patient’s name included electronically on the retrieved medical record.
  • Searchable Text – rapidly search digitized records for names, dates, keywords, or other text; words are highlighted within the document for quick reference.

MediConnect customers are able to incorporate any of MediConnect’s advanced services immediately by contacting their account manager or by logging in to RapidRetrieve. New users can sign up and learn more by visiting www.mediconnect.net.
