MEDICONNECT OPTIMIZES RAPIDRETRIEVE WITH NEW INTERFACE AND FEATURE SET

Easier and Faster to Navigate for Enhanced Medical Record Retrieval

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, September 8, 2008 —  MediConnect Global, Inc. (www.mediconnect.net)  today announced a new Web-interface and feature enhancements to its patented medical record retrieval system—RapidRetrieve™—designed to improve invoice tracking, make invoice management easier, reduce paper, enhance communication with assigned account managers, and speed overall online use of the system.
The new interactive Web-interface is designed to enhance navigation throughout the system for faster more efficient medical record retrieval ordering and management. It also makes it easier to communicate with an assigned MediConnect account manager by providing contact information prominently on the order page.
RapidRetrieve also now includes innovative new features that make using the system faster and easier:

  • Excessive Fee Batch Approval/Denial—This feature allows clients to set an approved provider fee limit associated with their pay-as-you-go payment options. If the provider fee of a medical record will be over the approved set fee, client approval will be needed. When this occurs a window opens allowing a user to approve or deny fees in batches simply by clicking convenient check boxes.
  • Mouse-over-notes—Whenever a user places their mouse over the Request ID number within RapidRetrieve, they automatically see the last three notes on the request. This is beneficial for the Excessive Fee feature and enhances the ability to quickly review “need more information” notes without opening additional windows.
  • Inter-Office Notes—Clients can now write inter-office notes directly in RapidRetrieve. These new notes allow clients to write notes to others in their office to coordinate activity, or as reminders to themselves, or for any other needs that arise. To communicate with MediConnect retrieval agents, clients select “Note to MediConnect.”

Additional new features help reduce paper usage while increasing invoice and payment tracking efficiency:

  • Electronic Invoicing—MediConnect clients can now choose to receive electronic invoices in RapidRetrieve. The electronic invoices are easy to read and understand, summarize all outstanding invoices for efficient invoice tracking, can be downloaded in either PDA or CSV format, and are automatically encrypted and decrypted for secure delivery. A small fee will be charged for those choosing paper invoices.
  • Pay-as-you-go—RapidRetrieve now provides a convenient pay-as-you-go payment option making it faster for clients to access ordered records. Clients can choose either auto-pay, which automatically bills a credit card on file, or manual pay, which bills a credit card when records are ready to download.

RapidRetrieve is also available directly in case management software that is integrated with MediConnect. Integrated case management software includes: TrialWorks, Needles, Amicus Attorney, SmartAdvocate, and Case Manager Pro. MediConnect can also be accessed directly through LexisNexis Total Litigator.
