Senior Web Developer
Overview
We are looking for a creative Web Developer with artistic ability and technical expertise to create cutting edge web applications. The ideal candidate would have 4+ years experience designing web applications and web UIs with a strong focus on usability, with recent experience designing UIs for web apps. This is an opportunity to work with an amazing team and for an incredibly cool company. The position is full-time and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Work with the product team to design web applications and UIs around business and user requirements; be a key participant in product design meetings
- Ensure consistent information architecture and usability throughout the UI design
- Own the visual design guide and specifications; this includes HTML/CSS UI samples, color palettes, fonts and graphics
- Work with engineers to deliver the final product
- Maintain our public websites and the corporate Intranet
- Act as the resident UI design guru
- Lead development efforts on large scale projects, ensuring robust & lasting solutions are implemented.
- Maintain JavaScript libraries: Adding and pruning them as necessary and providing documentation to be leveraged by other engineers.
Qualifications
- 4+ years designing elegant and usable web applications
- Middle tier web development (ASP.Net) and C# programming experience
- Experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio 2005/2008)
- AJAX Experience
- Expert HTML, CSS & JavaScript experience
- Possess an understanding and interest in web design, layout, color and usability
- Ability to accept and design against feedback in an iterative development process.
- A strong design sense with a proven track record of success
- An acute attention to detail, particularly with information architecture and usability
- Must enjoy a collaborative design/review process with all members of the team
- Skilled at Photoshop, Illustrator, Gimp, and/or Fireworks
- Able to communicate front-end issues with back-end developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or a BA/BFA in graphic design with strong technical experience
- Knowledge of cross-browser/OS design issues
- Flash experience
- Links to samples of your work
- Experience with web development tools such as Firebug
