Leaders in the technology and biotechnology sectors with ties to Utah will be honored on June 14 as members of vSpring Capital's 2007 Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs. Since 2004, vSpring of Salt Lake City has asked members of the Utah business community to nominate individuals who are most likely to lead a successful start-up venture in the next five to seven years in the information technology or biotech industries.

"The v100 community of entrepreneurs continues to be an indication of the abundance of one of the most important factors of production in our region - human capital," said Ed Ekstrom, managing director of vSpring Capital.

Members of the 2007 class have employed more than 100,000 people and raised $3.5 billion in financing over the course of their careers.

Kevin Rollins, former CEO of Dell and the namesake of the Kevin and Debra Rollins Center for eBusiness at Brigham Young University, will address the winners at the Thanksgiving Point event.
With $260 million under management, vSpring Capital is an early stage venture capital firm that invests in information technology and life-science companies.
