| Welcome to
Connections
Medical Record Retrieval is a key
litigation tool in many cases before today's
courts. MediConnect continually sees clients
successfully litigate record-setting cases on behalf of
both plaintiffs and defense.
In this issue of "Connections"
we highlight several services and integraions that will
help you. They include new features added to
RapidRetrieve, detail on our customized Bates/Page
stamping (which helps immensely in preparing medical
records for litigation and trial) and information about
our new integration to LexisNexis's Total Litigator case
management software.
You will also note below that
MediConnect has been named to the Inc. 500. This
is a great honor and we appreciate your support in
making this possible.
We appreciated your feedback
from our last newsletter and look forward to more with
this issue.

| New Features in
RapidRetrieve
|
RapidRetrieve has
recently been updated with more features to make the
records retrieval process even more user-friendly,
simple and beneficial. Some highlights
of this latest release include:
- Authorizations
(previously submitted through fax, mail or
email) now can be up-loaded directly into
RapidRetrieve through a "browse / upload"
feature. To set up this new feature for your
account, please contact your
Account Manager.
- On
the "Details of Request" screen the "Notes" entered by
retrieval agents will now include an "MT" to indicate
the note was entered on "Mountain Time."
- All records
with the status "No-Patient" or "No-Record"
will have a link with the same
description to eliminate confusion regarding
the type of information MediConnect
has received from the
provider.
- Section headers on the preferences page
have been updated for greater consistency throughout
the website.

| Leveraging Customized Bates
Stamping for Trial Preparation
|
|
Customized Bates Stamping
is an effective tool to help you better
organize medical records. This
method assigns more than a
unique number to individual pages of the
record for indexing, identification, and
referencing (both in-house and out).
MediConnect's Customized Bates
Stamping allows you to "customize" this process by
choosing multiple notation fields from easy-to-use
drop-down menus to uniquely label each page of your
record with one or a combination of the
following:
- Page Number
- Patient Name
- Date and Time
- Claim/case/policy number
- Request ID
- Provider Name
- Location on document
- Any Other Information (e.g., law firm
name)
Customized Bates Stamping
replaces cumbersome sticky notes and paper clips
that are not only inefficient, but create an
unprofessional appearance to opposing counsel, the judge
or the jury. It is easy to know the
total number of pages in any document with a quick
glance at the last page.
Customized Bates Stamping is available on any
digitized records in PDF formats and is only $5.95
per record. Contact your Account Manager for more
details or send an email here.
