 At MediConnect Global, we are constantly
improving our systems and services to give you fast, secure, and
accurate APS retrieval. Below are a few of the top enhancements we
have made over the last quarter to serve you better:
East Coast Mail Facility:
MediConnect is pleased to announce the opening of our East
Coast Mail Facility located just outside of Washington D.C. The
opening of the East Coast Mail Facility is part of an ongoing effort
to further reduce turnaround time for requests to east coast
providers. Request letters and prepayments to east coast
provider offices will be sent from this facility which will reduce
the time a request or prepayment is in transit to the provider
office.
Internal Call Center System
Enhancements:
Further enhancements to our
proprietary internal call center system has allowed
MediConnect to more effectively group requests for each record
location. Consequently, record custodians receive a single,
well-organized request for all appropriate patients thereby
assisting providers with efficiently fulfilling requests.
FTP File Transfer: To further reduce the
time involved in downloading records from the MediConnect
website, MediConnect now offers a secure FTP (File Transfer
Protocol) transfer option allowing MediConnect clients to easily
batch download records. Clients will determine the frequency
with which records will be made available for download to ensure
optimal efficiency with internal processes. If you have interest in

accordingly over the holidays so that your requests don't slow down.

MediConnect
knows in the life insurance business, time is money. Therefore, we
wanted to include a few reminders that help us help you receive your
APS's as fast as possible:
Upload HIPAA Authorization -
Once you submit your request for records, be sure to upload
the associated HIPAA authorization form. If we don't receive the
HIPAA auth within 48 hours, we'll send you a friendly reminder.
Complete Special
Authorizations Entirely - Sometimes record custodians require
a special authorization, which MediConnect will send to you as
soon as you place your request. Make sure you have filled out the
document completely and have appropriate signatures where indicated.
Check "Needs Info"
Bucket - MediConnect's RapidResponse technology will quickly
identify if we need additional documentation or approval from you in
order to retrieve your APS. Be sure to respond as quickly as
possible to avoid any delays.
